Our Story

Many of the brilliant innovators that I met over the years share three concerns, regulatory, technical, and commercial. These three areas are constantly changing just as the CGT field is constantly evolving. 86% of academic CGT discoveries never reach clinical development, not because the science fails, but because the operational translation between academia and industry is broken. University technology transfer offices (TTOs) are overwhelmed, and other consultancies have a different focus. Investors see promising science wrapped in an incomplete, uninventable package. Therefore, I established POTENTCELLS to fill that gap; from our base in Saudi Arabia by serving academic labs globally.

We are the only consultancy built exclusively to close the academic‑to‑seed gap in cell and gene therapy (CGT). Our services cover CAR‑T, gene editing, and other advanced therapy medicinal products.

Naseem A. Almezel, CEO

What we do differently

  • CGT‑only focus: no small molecules, antibodies, or devices. Only cell and gene therapy.
  • Operational depth: regulators, executives, and academic PIs on our team.
  • Seed‑stage economics: no equity and no minimum engagement.
  • Implementation: we stay through CDMO selection, quality systems, and IND compilation.

Our track record

  • Trusted by academic, public, and private CGT programs
  • 1st to serve CGT programs in Saudi Arabia and the region

Who we serve

  • Principal Investigators: get a clear translation roadmap
  • TTOs: on‑call CGT expertise via retainer
  • Early‑stage investors: due diligence and portfolio acceleration
  • Executives: get CGT technical clarity and leadership via fractional Chief Technology Officer
